Just got word from Xavier. Safran is now on the island of Santo after a few stops in islands between Port Vila and Santo. Islands from another time and another world, today nice "inactives" cannibals, but not too long it was not a recommended stop over !
After a few days they will be heading further north to the island of Parapara, an island used in James Bond movies ( A volcano, with the crater opening on the sea !)
Romain has left the boat in Port Vila for New Zeland ( after a clean haircut !) where he is staying until May 27. So I am sure, the life on board is much quieter !
Juste recu un mot de Xavier et Isabelle. Safran est arrive apres quelques jours de navigation a l ile de Santo ( Vanuatu). Quelques arrets dans des iles hors du temps et de monde , ou il n y a pas si longtemps les cannibales etaient actifs
La derniere ile au nord du Vanuatu ( Parapara ) vous sera sans doute familiere : c'est un volcan dont le cratere est en partie ouvert sur l ocean et qui a du etre utilisee comme decor dans un film de James Bond
Romain a quitte le bateau, tout content de repartir pour 3 semaines en Nouvelle Zelande ( sur les bancs d ecole !) apres une coupe de cheveux bien necessaire. Il rentre le 27 mai pour rejoindre le bateau avant le depart pour la Nouvelle Caledonie. La vie a bord doit etre plus calme !
